You don’t know the soul of your loved ones; you only accept their body as your own. This body didn’t belong to anyone before. And, certainly, it will not belong to anyone later. For some time, the body has a relationship with you. This body is like an office; you, the soul, are like an employee. As soon as your employment is terminated, you (the soul) will have to leave this office, and the office, too, will be destroyed. So why worry about it? We all have to go someday.
Why Did Maharaj Ji Leave His Home At A Young Age?
This exact thought came to me during childhood, when I was in the fifth standard that my mother would die, my father would also die, no one is permanent here, and everyone would die. I felt like with whom should I have a loving relationship? No one is permanent here; anyone can die anytime. There should be someone I love, and they should always stay with me. The only answer was that there was no one else except God. And thus, at the age of thirteen, I left home and started my journey to attain God.
Who Is Truly Your Own?
If the fear of being separated from everyone is troubling you, please form friendships with Lord Krishna and Shri Radha. Hold on to them, and they will never leave you. They are imperishable, and you are also imperishable. Your body is perishable, but you are imperishable. Accept them as yours, you can have any relationship with them as you like, they are very kind. Some consider lord Krishna as their son, some master, some friend, and some husband. No one is our own in this world; everything is a dream.
We don’t know for how long this body will exist. We can’t trust it. This body is like a water bubble; it can burst anytime. Some say we have known each other for lifetimes, but how can that be? You neither know yourself nor do you know others; how can you then be related? You only know the body, which exists only for a few years. They are all liars. Only you and God are related for eternity. We also had a mother, father, wife, son, and family we don’t remember from our previous births. Do we remember them? In this very birth itself, we have been in our mother’s womb for nine months. Do we remember what our condition was at that time? We don’t know anything about it. Nobody is ours. You will love God and become a devotee if you understand this well.
Whom should we become close to?
Our only true friend is Lord Krishna. Make a friendship with him, and you will know. He is such a loving friend that he will be with you from beginning to end and never look at your mistakes. Lord Krishna is a very dear friend. Everything present here is temporary and will go away. Take a look at your own body; you were a child, then an adult, and soon you will be old, and then you will die. When this body can’t be ours, then who can be? Everybody and everything here is perishable.
Everyone is searching for love. Everyone’s heart is searching for a partner to rest their head on and sleep peacefully. Take shelter at the feet of Shri Radha, and you will become carefree. Chant Radha, Radha. Develop love for Shri Radha. The Sudarshan chakra that Lord Krishna holds in His hand is situated in Her footprints. She has infinite powers available at Her feet, which keep protecting her people. If we accept Her as our own, we will walk around with a puffed-out chest; there will be no problems.
Death Can Come At Any Time, Don’t Waste Any More Time!
We don’t even realise how time passes. We were sent here for our welfare, for the attainment of God, and to become intoxicated with the love of God. The fear of death can take away all the happiness right now! If you come to know that you will die tomorrow, will you like any of the worldly pleasures after that? Focus on the work for which you have been sent here (Attaining God). Chant Radha-Radha, this will give you both peace and happiness.
