There are siddhis (divine powers), and they also have effects. We will be able to see them only when we have the strength. The more spiritual power we have, the more divinity we can see. To become capable of siddhis, first we should follow the principles and then chant their mantras, then that power will awaken within us. Our spiritual power has been destroyed in material enjoyment. We have no strength left. If material desires trample us, then how can we experience divinity? For that, we will have to be endowed with divine power. Only then will we be able to know divinity.
True Incidents Related To Siddhis!
I saw with my own eyes that an animal’s leg had been hit by a farmer’s tool. It was bleeding. An old saint came. He was famous in the village for binding blood. He picked up mud from the ground and, after chanting a mantra for two minutes, poured it on its wound. As soon as this was done, only the wound remained, and not a single drop of blood came out after that. So he had the Siddhi to stop bleeding.
There is another incident in which a saint had come from Ayodhya. He used to worship Lord Hanuman ji. He came closer and asked me what spiritual practice do you do? I said that my Guruji has told me to chant the name and do some yoga practices, I do the same. He asked, do you know any miracles? I said I did not know of this. He snapped his finger, and the fragrance of kewda spread throughout the atmosphere. He asked people what other fragrances they wanted. Someone said, Jasmine! He again snapped, and the fragrance of jasmine spread throughout the atmosphere. After this he took water and asked, which juice do you want to drink? The juice he desired was made from that water.
After all, nature is under the control of God. So why can’t nature be transformed by God’s mantra? Prahlad ji manifested God from a pillar, and Namdev ji manifested God from a dog, so what is the big thing in making juice from water? God is in all forms. He aspired through the mantra, and the water became juice.
My mind was not affected by all this. My mind gets affected when I start crying out of love for God just by sitting near someone. And my heart starts burning because of how despicable I am. What kind of deeds have I done? Will God accept me, too? This is the miracle of being in the company of a saint. With the company of saints, the mind starts yearning for God.
What Kind Of Siddhis Are There?
1. Anurmi Siddhi
In whose heart this siddhi is manifested, nothing can defeat him, including hunger, thirst, sorrow, old age and death. He conquers all these. No matter how many days he does not get food, he can never be troubled by hunger. The distraction of thirst cannot touch him. Grief, attachment, old age, and even death cannot hurt him.
2. Durshravan Siddhi
A person who has accomplished this Siddhi will be able to listen to anything happening millions of miles away. If he wants to listen, he can sit in India and listen to what is happening in America.
3. Durdarshan Siddhi
With this Siddhi, one can see what is happening everywhere. Sitting here, one can see what is happening in Brahmalok (what to say about this world). His vision becomes so subtle that he can see things happening wherever he wants.
4. Manojav Siddhi
The worshiper who has attained this Siddhi can enter anybody he wants. A person who has achieved this Siddhi can reach wherever he wants with his mental strength. He can reach someone’s heart. If he wishes, he can resolve to reach another country immediately. If he wants, he can also go to other worlds.
5. Kamarupi Siddhi
The worshiper who has attained this Siddhi can assume whatever form he wants.
6. Parkaya Pravesh Siddhi
With this Siddhi, it is possible to enter the bodies of others. A person who has accomplished this can even enter the body of a dead person.
7. Ichcha Mrityu Siddhi
If you have this Siddhi then you can die whenever you want, if you don’t want then you become immortal.
There was a saint named Changdev. His age was fourteen hundred years. He came to Maharashtra to visit Shri Gyandev Ji, sitting on a lion and carrying a snake whip in his hand. This means that he had attained the Ichcha Mrityu siddhi. But he neither had pure knowledge nor love for God. In front of Shri Gyandev ji, all the pride in his siddhis turned to dust. Gyandev Ji was sitting on a platform. When he learned that some Yogi was coming to meet him, he told Platform, let’s leave from here, so Platform went with him. Seeing this, Changdev ji lost his senses. He thought that I had brought a living lion under my control, but he made the non-living platform move! This is the effect of devotion. Attainment of God is a big goal. Siddhis are a small thing in comparison to that.
8. Devkridanudharshan Siddhi
With this Siddhi one can see everything happening in any world.
9. YathaSankalpsan Siddhi
After getting this siddhi, any work will be done per your resolution. Whether it is an inanimate thing or a living thing, it must move according to your wish.
10. Aparitahatgati Siddhi
One who has this siddhi, no one can violate his orders. Everyone will have to do whatever he orders!
11. Trikaalagyata
On who attains this Siddhi, comes to know everything about what has happened or will happen in the past, present and future.
12. Advandvataa Siddhi
With this Siddhi, cold, heat, happiness, sorrow, respect, insult, all become under his control. No duality can defeat him.
13. Parachittaadbhijñataa
With this Siddhi it becomes possible to know what is going on in the mind of another person. Even what someone else saw in a dream can be known.
14. Pratisthamb Siddhi
With this Siddhi a person can come out of the flames of fire. While doing this, not a single hair will get burnt. He can fly with the wind. He can walk in water like he can walk on land. Even with the heaviest blows his skin will not be scratched. Even if he drinks the most terrible poison, it will have no effect on him. No matter how much heat the sun exerts, it cannot generate heat in his body.
15. Aparaajay Siddhi
No one can defeat him (by mantra, tantra, force, or any other means). He has the power to conquer everything.
How to Get Siddhis?
There are many Siddhis. It is not necessary that you do Ashtanga Yoga only then will you get siddhis. If you desire to attain these siddhis, then you can attain these siddhis very quickly by following the path of devotion. The condition is that you should not commit any offence and should not behave contrary to the scriptures. When the mode of goodness increases in the heart by destroying passion and ignorance, then siddhis start appearing in your heart automatically. Getting siddhis is a very simple thing. People think that small miracles are very difficult, but siddhis start in the initial stage of devotion.
But one aiming for true knowledge or God’s love should not get distracted by siddhis. But even if you want the respect of the world or any material thing, just worship the Lord; all this will start falling at your feet. The scriptures also describe that one who chants the Lord’s name with full concentration while eating Sattvik food and living as per the scriptures starts manifesting siddhis.
Can We Get Siddhis Through Devotion?
If you walk on the path of devotion, you will have such experiences. But if you aim to attain God, you should not be carried away by small miracles. Goswami Tulsidas ji says in some verses that the demigods come and sit at his senses whenever a seeker progresses on the path of devotion. Different deities reside in the senses and attract the person with illusion and pleasures so that he gets corrupted. At that time, the worshiper should be careful.
indrii dvaar jharokhaa naanaa, jahan tahan sur baiṭhe kari thaanaa
Sri Ramcharitmanas
aavat dekhahin bishay bayaarii, te haṭhi dehin kapaaṭ ughaarii
Riddhi-siddhi prerai bahu bhaaii. buddhihi lobh dikhaavahin aaii

kal bal chhal kari jaahin samiipaa. amchal baat bujhaavahin diipaa
Koi buddhi jown param sayaanii. tinh tan chitav n anahit jaanii॥

The wisest mind should not even look at Siddhis. If one looks there, it will cause harm to the worshiper, i.e. an obstacle will arise in his path of attaining God. It is not that the seeker does not have siddhis. Sometimes some siddhis will come, sometimes some other power will come! But we must move forward removing all this, then we will cross over. Then, a situation comes from where no one can distract you. That is why you will not see any external accomplishment in the great God-loving Saints. He lives life like an ordinary person, but he is constantly situated in the extraordinary element (the lord).
How To Make Your Life Successful?
Miracles are true, but not a big thing. Siddhis are nothing in comparison to God’s realization. But even if you want to achieve a siddhi, worship only God. He is very powerful and merciful. Whatever you see is all created by illusion; there is no truth. The only truth is the name of God. Great men have said that –
Don’t drink alcohol. Do not look at women with unchaste looks. Do not eat meat and eggs. Chant Ram, Krishna, Hari, or whatever name of God you like. By doing this, you will get what you want and become a giver of happiness to others.
This is all God’s play. He is playing in various forms. But we don’t have to get trapped in these games. There is another divine game, God’s game, and we have to go into it. Let’s leave this cycle of birth and death, this fulfilment of desires. There is one thing that can make everything alright, and that is only surrendering to God and Chanting of His name.
